Steven Peterson held an auction to have the highest bidder to cut off his hair. The proceeds collected benefited Michigan School for the Deaf (MSD). During the MSD football homecoming game back in October 2009, the highest bidder cut off Peterson’s hair. We have posted the pictures here for your viewing.

Charity Basketball vs ABC 12

At 7:00 PM, on December 3rd, MSD staffs will take on “ABC 12 No Stars” in a charity basketball game. Don’t miss out a shoot out contest during intermission. Special appreciation and thanks goes to Senator John Gleason for sponsoring this event. The money raised will benefit the needy children of MSD.

Due to the boo hoo flu, we are sad to announce the cancellation of this year’s Haunted Unit 2 event.
All items purchased with donated funds, will be stored away and saved for next year’s 2010 Haunted House. For the folks that lent us Halloween decorations and would like them returned, please contact one of us to make arrangements. If your items are being donated, please let us know so we can pack them up and store them in a safe place. For those that donated money, it was all used to purchase many decorations and items and again, we thank you. Thank you everyone for your support.

MSDAA will be hosting two movie nights showcasing ASLFilms newest film, Gerald. This film is a journey of a young man, Corey, yearning for kinship until one day discovers he has a Deaf autistic grandfather he has never knew, Corey was determined to make connection regardless. The family ties and secrets unbeknownst to the young man have surfaced, and all the events suddenly unfold. Soon afterwards, the discovery leads to chain of events that entwines the young man to the unknown. A powerful, emotional and continuous twist of events that leads to shocking truth.
